Works great!
I always loved the oldtime poppers with a round bottom pot over an electric element. Those went out with the invention of the microwave, I guess, and I have been microwaving popcorn ever since. I may be slightly addicted to popcorn. Is that a thing? This type of popper seemed like the closest modern version to the old style poppers which I always thought made much better popcorn than any microwave. Really pleased with this one for several reasons. The rotating bar spreads out the shortening (I use various flavored and unflavored coconut oils and sometimes a little butter) and it agitates the kernels very well as they pop. I have yet to find any burnt popcorn and hardly any unpopped hulls at all. It has a butter dispenser on top which works if you use some very thin slices of butter. It doesn’t get quite enough steam to melt big chunks of butter by the time the corn is done so just keep your butter pats thin if you add them at all and they’ll melt just in time. I haven’t used a “flip” type popper since being burned with one many years ago. Happy to report that we haven’t had any problem gently flipping this one over to use the lid as a bowl. The lid fits in well and no oil escapes if you just turn it over gently. It cleans up very well, too. There a little plastic ‘bolt’ that holds the agitator bar in place and it unscrews easily, it was designed ergonomically to be able to grab and turn it without struggling. The bar comes right out and i just hit those with soapy water and a hot rinse. I was handwashing the lid/bowl at first but I find that it cleans up great on the top rack of the dishwasher instead. I thought it might ruin the plastic but nope, it comes out perfectly clean and clear. Really happy with this popper – we’re using it about every other night and have yet to discover any issues with it. Good price point, too.

This product performed great! It pops well and reminds me of popcorn we had growing up as children. Tody microwave popcorn is so disappointing. Too many hulls and very little taste. I am planning on enjoying my popper for many years! I love the top becoming the serving bowl!

Table Top Popcorn Popper
Pro: easy to clean, easy to use, you pour the oil onto the plate with the what looks like two prongs that will stir the popcorn, add the popcorn kernels and close the lid turn it on and wait for the popping to stop.Cons: the cap that goes over the vent called a cup I filled it just single level of kernels and poured it into the oil and it was too much. So you’re going to have to measure it so that you are adding the right amount of kernels. So why does this matter? Because if you had too many kernels when it starts popping it’ll pop the kernels lifting the lid causing oil and popcorn to spew everywhere. I made the mistake of using the cap called a measuring cup to measure the kernels and when I added it to the popcorn popper and turn it on and this is exactly what happened. It spewed hot oil and unzipped popcorn onto the table as it continued to spin the popped corn lifting the lid. I burned myself slightly trying to push the ON/OFF button because some fine hot oil landed on my hand. So it’s helpful to plug it into an extension cord so that you can easily unplug it if it goes crazy like mine did. Other than that it was pretty easy to use the cap served as a plug over the vents after you’re done popping the popcorn not during it because the vents need to be left open for the steam to escape. The bowl was single adult or several children sized. I didn’t have a problem except when I used the measuring cup/cap for the kernels. I think next time I’m going to use a measuring cup and try to see how much that cap holds and then back it off a bit and I recommend you do the same thing too. Overall, with a few tweaks, it is actually a pretty good popcorn popper.

Great popcorn maker!
I am so happy I purchased this! I’ve always loved popcorn as a snack, but I’ve only ever made microwave popcorn. The single-serving bags were always too small, but the regular-sized bags were too big for just a snack. This popcorn maker has been great because I get to control both how much oil and/or butter I add and how much popcorn I make.Personally, I like it a lot better than air poppers that I’ve used in the past because I always find air-popped popcorn (while slightly healthier because there’s no oil) is so bland it’s like eating cardboard. This popper is super easy to use: just add oil and popcorn, turn it on and place the lid. Because there’s a wand at the bottom that’s constantly moving, the popcorn doesn’t burn. When the popcorn stops popping, just turn the machine off.Popcorn does occasionally get stuck under the wand, and these pieces will burn, but it’s usually only one or two pieces of popcorn, and because they’re truly stuck, they don’t get transferred into the bowl of popcorn that you eat. My only complaint is that the hot plate area is a bit of a pain to clean because it can’t get wet. Small popcorn pieces and salt can get stuck in the grooves. Ideally, this part would be removeable. Instead, I just use a damp paper towel to wipe it down after use and it works well enough. For the price, I’m more than happy with this purchase!

Perfect size for two.
This little popcorn popper works well, but is hard to clean. You receive a base with a small rotating arm that stirs the popcorn as it pops. Next is the lid that doubles as a bowl. The base itself feels relatively steady, but the lid/bowl combo does not. It is made from flimsy plastic and is super pliable which makes it hard to clean for fear of breaking it. There is also a small lid that goes on top of the lid to cover the steam holes after popping. You put the lid on, flip the machine over, remove the base and viola…popcorn. However the bowl/lid doesn’t fit perfectly on the machine either. If you plan to make a lot of popcorn, go with something else a little sturdier. For occasional use, this is the perfect size for two people.

Me acaba de llegar y después de limpiarla de acuerdo a las instrucciones, la puse a trabajar de inmediato. Las palomitas estuvieron rapidÃsimo, es silenciosa , no es difÃcil de limpiar. MuchÃsimo mejor que las de aire (súper ruidosas y algunas ni funcionan y cuándo lo hacen , las palomitas saben a cartón) compra totalmente recomendada. Si usted le da una mala calificación a éste producto y dice que no es fácil de operar, su CI no debe andar muy alto.

Please bare in mind Iâve only used this once so far, but holy moly that was some tasty popcorn!Butter sprinkler works great, not a single kernel left unpopped. No burnt popcorn, pretty quick & easy!The bowl is not air-tight so like another reviewer said, maybe use your own bowl for less mess. Used with some fairly old popcorn and it tasted amazing, canât find anything to complain about with this in terms of actual popcorn popping ability.I will update this review if the product contains defects after a few more uses.Do not buy an air-popper if you want that buttery movie style popcorn, buy this because it will give it to you!!

I do not think making the cover of plastic is either healthy or sustainable. Parts of the plastic cover already melted from the second use. This is super cheap material and I would not recommend anybody spending any money, however cheap, on it!
