    Necessity!
I just had my first child and this is an absolute must! It allows me to sleep with ease as I know my baby is being monitored. You can easily set up/connect to app. It comes with right and left sock allowing you to alternate feet. I can be in another room and still monitor the baby through the app. I also like that alerts sound on the charging base and your phone. It might be a bit pricey but definitely worth the investment for a piece of mind

    We love our Owlet!
We decided to buy this product when my daughter was 4 days old and I couldn’t sleep because I was so anxious about if she was ok and not being able to tell. Once we got the dream sock it was an easy set up and I used it right away. It was difficult at first to put on her tiny foot but once it was on it helped me so much. The only downside is that if it is not on right the base station will sing a very annoying song at you and you can’t turn down the volume. Another downside is when we travel it has a hard time connecting to the internet for me to get a live read on my app. However, it always works without internet you just don’t get the live read on your app.

    So much peace of mind!
Having a preemie is stressful enough. I got this to help me with the anxiety of the newborn stage.

    I want to love it..
To begin, we’ve never been able to use this product as advertised. The base station (that should be next to me on my nightstand so that I can hear the alerts) has to stay right next to her crib in order for it to read the sensor. When the alarms go off, I can only hear them through the baby monitor that I had to position right next to the base station. It’s been frustrating from the beginning, but I at least found a way to make it work. In June, barely 13 months after we purchased our Dream Sock, the sensor quit working. I contacted the Help Center and they suggested I try several things (clean the sensor, reset the sensor, etc.) I had already tried all of these things. They said that because my sock was out of warranty there was nothing else that could be done, and that I would need to purchase a new sensor ($129). This didn’t sit well with me, considering the sock was almost $300, it was no longer working at no fault of our own, and we were days past the 1 year warranty. After several emails back and forth, they agreed to send me a sensor replacement. Here we are, less than 8 months since they sent the replacement, and it is doing the exact same thing. I reached out to the Help Center again. They told me I would need to purchase a new sensor ($129). I asked if this was a common issue, and was told that because it is the most used part, it can be common. The product is designed to be used every day, so it’s baffling to me that for the amount of money you pay, it can be common to need to replace the sensor each year.I want to love the sock, because I love being able to see her oxygen while she sleeps. It often dips dangerously low when she is getting sick, and the Owlet is how we have known to start breathing treatments this winter.

Great for peace of mind, interesting sleep stats
I will preface this review by saying yes, I understand that this is not marketed as a medical device, but it certainly worked well for what I needed. I bought the dream sock when my daughter, who was 4 weeks old at the time, was diagnosed with RSV. The 10 minute average O2 readings were the deciding factor in purchasing the monitor. I wanted something I could put on her and leave on to keep track of her oxygen levels while she was sick and the owlet sock worked perfectly. I was able to watch her levels over time and use the information to communicate with her doctor and decide what level of care she needed. My phone doesn’t go to sleep while the app is open so it was easy to glance over and see the numbers as they refreshed. No, it doesn’t display a live reading but it is always monitoring, and to me the 10 minute average readings were and are good enough. My daughter is 6 months old now and we’ve used the owlet every night since we bought it. In addition to the oxygen numbers it keeps track of her heart rate and sleep state as well. It’s really interesting information and has been useful in getting into a routine with her sleep cycles. The main thing I can think to improve upon would be to add a line for the O2 numbers on the history chart. The chart includes average movement, heart rate, and sleep state, and it would be nice to have the O2 averages from throughout the session on there too.Overall I’m really happy with the purchase and would recommend the owlet dream sock to those who are considering it. It worked beautifully for what we needed when we bought it originally and it continues to provide peace of mind and useful information. I’ll use it until my daughter outgrows it, and I’ll use it with any kids I may have in the future.

Great alert system & keep feeling of security
Owlet comes with 4 total socks – right/left in two different sizes to properly fit your baby. They make it very easy for tired parents to figure out how to put it on and what foot it belongs on. These socks are meant to be cleaned and we have had no issues with shrinking or stretching after. The base not only lights up to signal the status of the baby but it also plays different sounds to alert you to different things going on. The sound is PLENTY loud to wake you up in the middle of the night if you’re a deep sleeper. I can be in the kitchen with the bedroom door closed and still hear the alerts if something is wrong. The app is also very easy to us.Downside- it does take wifi and can be a pain to set up and sync. Only time we had an issue was after a power outage and having to re-setup the system. Also if their sock becomes loose or moves to the wrong position it will go off, but I rather error on the side of caution and check the sock and nothing be wrong. The battery has also been surprisingly long and it does alert you before it dies.I would use on all my children.

For the price I’m not sure it’s the best bang for your buck but it does provide peace of mind. We noticed our baby’s S02 levels would sometimes read low then spike but looks like the reading might be faulty. Nice to track baby’s sleep and to see when he’s waking or being fussy. Often the app is quicker than our baby monitor in alerting us.
