    This is the one!
At 1400 watts this little popper gives surprising results! Small & compact doesn’t take up a lot of space. Cooks up a storm! Buy it. It works GREAT and does’nt cost a lot of money. 1400 watts of cooking power results in fast cooking and very few unpopped kernels. Love It !

    Air popper
The first time I made popcorn everything was good. The second Time kernels were popping out of the front of the popcorn maker before they are hot enough to be popped. I have a small kitchen. I had popcorn kernels everywhere. So the third time I decided I’m gonna tilt the popcorn popper backwards a little so as they pop up, they won’t pop over the front of the popcorn maker. the popcorn kernels move exceedingly fast. I made popcorn today and when I was done, I probably got a cups worth. This is convenient of course, cause it’s an air popper, but I’m not so happy with the functionality.

    Very good air-popper
Popcorn makes a good and healthy whole-grain snack, far better for us and less costly than the unhealthy ultraprocessed snacks that dominate the grocery store shelves. I’ve been eating popcorn for more than 80 years, which says something in itself. I have several different poppers of various kinds but have settled on this for day-to-day use. It’s virtues are that it is inexpensive; pops up a batch easily, quickly and with minimal effort; involves no oil; and is easy to clean. Its chief drawbacks are that it almost always produces quite a few unpopped old maid kernels and tends to blow popped and old-maid kernels far and wide. To remedy these problems would require a fundamentally different and probably more expensive design — I don’t see any air poppers that look more promising in these respects. Despite the problems it remains the best popper I know.

    I love this thing
Fast, easy, doesn’t burn the popcorn (and kind of fun!). Allows much healthier and more exciting options than the microwave popcorn (paired with different topping flavors!)

Makes good popcorn; quite hard to put the cover on
Update after fighting with the cover for one year: I finally duct taped the cover permanently to the base. Problem solved, but the design of the cover is ridiculous.Update after two months of use: I’m taking off one star because it’s very difficult to put the cover on the popper. It’s held on by 3 minuscule tabs that go into tiny slots. If the cover is out of shape in any way, the 3 tabs won’t line up with the slots. With time, as the cover heats up and cools down, it can change shape. To counteract this, don’t remove the cover until it has cooled. But actually, I had this problem with lining up the tabs from the beginning. Don’t force them—they are very thin and could easily break. Very poor design! Dealbreaker? No, because there’s nothing better at this price.UPDATE after one month of frequent use: This popper always leaves a circle of unpopped kernels about 1.5″ in diameter in the bottom—the exact size of the grill in the bottom. I think this is because when there are no kernels above it, the remaining ones don’t sit on or near the grill long enough to get hot enough to pop. I think this is a flaw but not a deal breaker. Another small design flaw is that the on/off switch is located on the “back” of the popper where you can’t see it. If you’re right handed, you will turn the popper so that the exit chute faces right and the bowl is on your right. This places the on/off button on the back of the popper.ORIGINAL 4-STAR REVIEW: I’ve only used this once and it worked fine. The popcorn came out nice and fluffy, aided by the air vents that allow steam to escape so the popcorn doesn’t get soggy. Compared to my last popper, this one is slower to begin popping. The whole process took about 4 minutes, which is reasonable. I put in one-half of the measuring cup, and about 15 kernels failed to pop. That’s reasonable too. These results—slow start and percentage of unpopped kernels—are consistent with reports by professional reviewers that rank it about #2 in air poppers. The price ($20) is reasonable for this product. I like that it has an on/off switch instead of having to unplug it to turn it off. The question is, how long will it last? My last popper lasted 30 years until I accidentally poured oil in it. The directions state to not let this popper run for more than 5 minutes, a hint that it could overheat.

    Best popcorn maker
This is a review of DASH Hot Air Popcorn Popper Maker with Measuring Cup to Portion Popping Corn Kernels + Melt Butter, 16 Cups – RedPrior to purchasing this popcorn maker I used to use a silicone thing with lid that I’d use in my microwave. It was OK but it was a pain to wash and it would not fit in our new Miele microwave so I had to find an alternative. This was recommended elsewhere and after using it for a few months now I totally agree. This is easy to use, clean-up is a breeze and the popcorn is excellent. Of course, garbage in garbage out so be sure to purchase a good quality popcorn. It takes about 3 minutes to make a large bowl of popcorn. I do not use the plastic measuring cup for melting the butter while the popcorn is popping although you may choose to do so. I melt the butter separately.I really like how easy and quick it is to make delicious popcorn. The price is right too.

    Perfect for families
Honestly, my kids love snacking on popcorn almost daily and this purchase we well worth it. This device is compact, works effectively, and clean up is extremely easy. We can store this in cabinets and not take up a significant amount of space in small cabinets. We used to have a popcorn maker but it was very bulky, took a long time to pop, and clean up was miserable. Plus, after it was cleaned it took up substantial space in our largest cabinet. We do not melt butter in the container that is included but I can say the butter takes a pretty long time to melt compared to using the stove or microwave.

    Cute but finicky
I like the look of this popcorn maker, cute style and color. It makes popcorn fast! However the plastic top has tiny little tabs to fit into the base and it’s very annoying to try to fit on. Those tabs will eventually break off if you’re not careful. It will also shoot popcorn out everywhere towards the end of the batch so be careful do not stand in front of it. I like the idea of the butter melter on top but it could be dangerous if you put too much and it gets into the base. It’s also very hot and difficult to take off to pour over the popcorn. All in all happy with it just have to be careful with it in many ways
