Great smartwatch, great battery life, comfortable!
The Garmin Vivoactive 5 is a great option for those looking for a low maintenance device that looks good, performs well, and does practically everything you’d want a smartwatch to do. One of the main drawbacks of most of the smart watches available today is limited battery life. While it’s great to have a smartwatch that packs every feature under the sun, it’s still inconvenient / impractical to have to charge it daily, or even every other day. Consumers probably accept this limitation because they are used to charging their cellphones daily, so adding another device is still tolerable. Garmin’s watches, however, the Vivoactive 5 being one example, do a great job balancing functionality and battery life. This particular smartwatch has a great screen, is very light / comfortable, has a great feature set that includes a large number of health tracking / connectivity features, and still manages to give you over a week of use between charges.

    Major upgrade over Vivoactive 4S
Fit: I have very small wrists – about 6.25” circumference – especially for a guy. I was initially concerned that the larger face versus the Vivoactive 4S might look clunky. But it is thinner and sits closer on the wrist, so it’s actually better. Sleeves don’t catch as easily and it’s very comfortable.Display: The AMOLED display is sharp and vibrant – very easy to read. I like that I can set it to stay on all the time so that I can glance at the time like a regular watch. In low power mode the watch face is still very clear.Features: Sleep tracking is as good as the Fitbit I used to have, maybe better. Fitness tracking and activities are easy to use and seem quite accurate. Heart rate monitoring accuracy is reasonably close to the Polar chest strap.Battery life: I charge it every few days, and I don’t think it has ever gone below 45%. Usually on the second or third day, it’s around 60% or 70%. With the display always on and other features active, I don’t think I’d get 11 days between charges, but that rating assumes you’re just in smart watch mode all the time. Battery life is more than adequate.Overall, a very good smart watch/fitness monitor. I like simple, straightforward design and features, and this one is great!

    Great watch and product support
I wanted to upgrade from my Fitbit to something that holds a charge longer and stays synced with my phone without having to keep the app open. A Garmin watch seemed to fit the bill. It’s probably a little fancy for my needs, but I’m very happy with the features so far.The watch arrived and was very easy to set up. It looks great (not too big), functions great (use friendly), does a great job of tracking sleep, and the touch screen is worlds better than my Fitbit ever was. I haven’t had it long enough to comment on the scratch resistance of the screen. After wearing it for a couple of the weeks, a pretty crucial piece fell of the watch band (see the picture). I was disappointed and a little annoyed at first, but Amazon quickly sent me a replacement that arrived 2 days after I contacted them. I also ordered some more bands to have on hand in case this ever happens again.I’m looking forward to using this watch to get back into running next summer as it has the built-in coaching feature. I don’t think you’ll find anything better for the price (and I didn’t get it on sale— ha).

    Nice update from Vivoactive 4S
The Vivoactive 5 is a nice upgrade from the 4S battery which life was not very good after 3 years of daily wear.Positives: Bigger screen, faster response to inputs, Nice bright colors. Nice wrist band, light weight and comfortable. Plenty of watch faces and useful apps. Easy to customize the screens and each screen is very readable. So far battery life impressive. Negatives. The 2 buttons could be a little more responsive. Original letters on opening screen were comic book in style. Some third party watch faces have limited options. The manual is not the best but I am still learning the functionality of watch.Over all I am pleased with the 5 and glad I purchased it.

A Fitness Companion that Exceeds Expectations!
Well it is finally charging day so a great time to leave my review for my Vivoactive 😁I’ve been using the Garmin Vivoactive 5 for a while now, and it has truly exceeded my expectations in several key areas. One of the standout features for me is the impressive battery life. It’s amazing not having to worry about constant charging, especially during long workouts or busy days. The comfort and lightness of the watch make it a joy to wear all day. It’s so lightweight that I often forget I have it on. The design is sleek and minimal, adding to the overall comfort and making it suitable for any occasion.Ease of use is another big win for the Vivoactive 5. Navigating through the menus and accessing different features is incredibly intuitive. Even the built-in coach feature, although I haven’t explored it fully yet, adds another layer of functionality that I’m excited to try in the future. The activity and sleep tracking capabilities have been a game-changer for me. It’s like having a personal assistant dedicated to my health and fitness goals. I particularly appreciate the accurate rep count during workouts – it’s a small detail that makes a big difference in my training routine. One aspect that sets this model apart for me is the absence of calls and texts. It helps me stay focused on my activities without unnecessary distractions. It’s a thoughtful inclusion that aligns perfectly with my fitness mindset. However, if I were to nitpick, the only area I find lacking is the variety of watch bands. I hope Garmin considers introducing more fun and interchangeable bands in the future. It would be a fantastic way to customize the look and feel of the watch.Overall, the Garmin Vivoactive 5 is a fantastic product that has seamlessly integrated into my daily life. It’s reliable, user-friendly, and packed with features that enhance my fitness journey. I’m excited to see what future updates and band options Garmin has in store. Highly recommended!

  8. Handsome man

First of all, I’m not a fan of bulky-looking watches, so this watch fits the bill. It’s slim enough, sleek, and not too thick. The battery life is amazing. I had an Apple Watch and they’re notorious for poor battery life so this has been a breath of fresh air. The functionality is superb. I mainly use it for running and hiking. The watch provides accurate metrics for heart bpm, VO2 max, sleep quality, and much more. If you’re looking for something more affordable than the high-end Garmin products, buy this watch.
