High Dynamic Range Video + Photo: HERO12 Black takes its best-in-class image quality to the next level with HDR for both videos (5.3K and 4K) and photos. Great in environments with both shadows and bright light, HDR captures the subtle details of the scene that might typically blend into the darkness of shadows or disappear in the bright spots of your shot. The result is dynamic footage with true-to-life color and precision.
Unbelieveable Image Quality: With 5.3K video that gives you 91% more resolution than 4K and an incredible 665% more than 1080p, HERO12 Black captures the action with crisp detail and cinematic image quality with High Dynamic Range (HDR) while also taking 27MP photos. You can also grab stunning photos up to 24.7MP of your favorite shots from your videos using the GoPro Quik app.
Emmy Award- Winning HyperSmooth 6.0 Stabilization: HyperSmooth continues to set the bar for insanely smooth footage and has the hardware to back it up—a 2021 Emmy for In-Camera Sensor and Software Stabilization. HERO12 Black makes it even better by maximizing HyperSmooth AutoBoost performance with more stabilization while still delivering less image cropping. Bike, skate, ski, chase your kids through the park or get awesome pet POV shots—even the shakiest footage comes out silky smooth.
Rugged + Waterproof to 33ft (10m): Completely waterproof and as tough as ever, HERO12 Black is ready to capture the fun on any adventure. Its legendary durability can take a beating and keep going, whether you’re ripping through mud, snow or water (down to 33ft/10m). A water-repelling lens cover even helps eliminate lens flare and other artifacts to make your photos and videos even more stunning.

    GoPro HERO13 Black Creator Edition
The GoPro HERO13 Black Creator Edition is an absolute game-changer for anyone looking to take their content creation to the next level. As a long-time GoPro user, I was already impressed with previous models, but the HERO13 Black has truly elevated the experience.First off, the image quality is incredible. With its upgraded 5.3K video at 60fps and stunning 23MP photos, every shot looks crisp, vibrant, and incredibly detailed. Whether I’m shooting in bright daylight or low-light conditions, the improved sensors and enhanced HyperSmooth stabilization make the footage buttery smooth and cinematic. The color accuracy and dynamic range are exceptional, capturing every scene with lifelike clarity. What really sets the Creator Edition apart is the thoughtful bundle of accessories. It includes the Media Mod, a compact and powerful add-on that transforms the HERO13 into a full-fledged filmmaking tool. The integrated microphone significantly improves audio quality, and the HDMI-out feature allows for easy live streaming or instant playback on larger screens. Plus, the included Light Mod is a total game-changer for low-light shooting, giving my videos that perfect professional touch. The versatility of this camera is another standout. With the included tripod, you can easily set it up for steady shots or use it for vlogging, and the adjustable screen makes it a breeze to frame yourself when you’re in front of the lens. It’s perfect for creators who need a portable, all-in-one solution for shooting high-quality content on the go.Another major plus is the GoPro app, which seamlessly integrates with the HERO13 Black. The ability to remotely control the camera, edit footage on the fly, and share it instantly to social media is a huge time-saver. Plus, the battery life is impressive, and with the included extra batteries, I’m never left scrambling for power mid-shoot.Overall, the GoPro HERO13 Black Creator Edition is a powerhouse for creators of all levels. Whether you’re a vlogger, filmmaker, or just an adventure enthusiast, this camera has everything you need to capture stunning content. It’s packed with features, offers incredible quality, and is built to handle even the toughest environments. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to step up their content creation game!

    The stabilization is amazing!
Sorry I don’t know how to edit videos yet so I can’t show you what I will be talking about yet. I recently bought the hero 12 kinda by accident. I wanted to buy one but I didn’t want to spend the money though. I had put a camera and a sd card in my cart and forgot about it, well I needed some vacuum bag rolls to freeze something, anyway I bought the go pro with that, oops.I have purchased a few other cameras to mount to my motorcycle, needless to say I was buying the cheapest I could that seemed to be ok. Well they weren’t. When I mounted them to my bike the image quality was just terrible. I ride a Harley and I don’t know if it was vibrations from that, or the stabilization wasn’t up to snuff. I figured because I had the go pro in hand I would at least try it and if it didn’t do what I wanted I could send it back.Well it works great. That is all I have to say about it. I haven’t even gone into the more advanced set up features; and, I made my first video this morning and I was shocked at how smooth the video capture was. The colors were normal, I mean it looked like it did when I saw it with my own eyes, so I’m good with that. The purpose of the camera is to document if anything happens while I’m riding and it does that very well. I really didn’t want to spend that much, but I will be keeping the Hero 12 Black and I am looking forward to learning how to use it better. The 25% off makes it a little easier to swallow buying one. I’ve looked at them for awhile and the price is reasonable in the end. I have a 256GB micro sd for now but it will take up to a terabyte if I want to spend the money, for long rides.End of the story is basically, I love this camera after one use and look forward to using it more. If I can’t get the wife to come with me, I can make her watch the videos of the trip at least. Great camera so far, I’m curious to see how it handles a rain storm but I say buy it! I can’t wait to figure out how to bluetooth it to the mic on my helmet for voice commands and to see if I will be able to narrate that way while I am riding. It has so many features that it will take me awhile to learn all of them and get the camera set up to do everything I want, or it is at least capable of. Not unhappy I bought it, still kinda expensive, but with these kinds of things you truly get what you pay for.

Can not be activated to operate
I spent a great deal of time with the GOPRO online people to resolve my issue that this camera would not work. They were very helpful but it did not change anything. You have to activate it by using your phone Of course this makes no sense but the geeks are now obsessed with phones. I do not want to use my phone at all with this camera. I want to download to my Computer and edit and store in it.Basically I was told my I Phone was too old (it is about 2-3 years old) for their technology and that I would have to buy a new phone for it to work. I don’t want to go out and buy an expensive new phone- particularly to set up a camera that I will never use on a phone.Could not charge it either. It is a USB-C. I have an adapter for this but it would not work (does for all my other cameras, golf distance and phone). So I was told you have to buy a new adapter. When I asked specifically what type of adapter so that I did not waste my money they were clueless and could not answer. They referred me to their own product but it was $70.They finally admitted they could not help. and that unless I wanted to go out and spend a bunch of additional money the camera was useless. Thanks, but no thanks.

I love the Go Pro 13 , but i find the software for editing not much good. I had to download another program to edit. The picture quality is great. I had to order two batteries they last about 1.5 hours each.

Pros:- Premium build quality- Compact and portable design- Simple interface with only three shooting modes- Quik app works well for stabilizing the footage- App supports H.264 and H.265 mp4 encoding- Good daylight video/image quality- Respectable underwater performanceCons:- No optical or digital stabilization in the camera- Non-removable battery- Lack of manual exposure or white balance control- No exposure compensation- Lengthy post-processing workflow- The mode button feels stiffThe GoPro Hero 4K has a premium build and is smaller than expected around the size of half a credit card. It feels solid and has some weight to it. I like it. Before use, the camera needs to be updated to the latest firmware. Make sure you connect the camera to a stable USB power supply before doing this. My Hero 4K came with only 30% battery charge, and updating firmware at this charge level without a stable external power source can harm your camera. The updates went smoothly with the Quik app. The app allowed me to do everything I needed to do as a guest without registration or subscription. This is great. The camera does not have a removable battery, probably to save real estate, and this is another consideration before buying this camera. The camera needs at least a V30 SD card to record and will give you an error message if your SD card is not fast enough. The camera has a very simple interface and only offers three modes of operation: 4K 30fps, 2.7K 60fps (slow motion), and 12MP still photos. Exposure is automatic. There is no manual exposure mode. Shutter speed, aperture, ISO, or colour temperature cannot be adjusted. 1080p shooting is possible by selecting the “power save” mode. The camera lens has a very wide shooting angle, almost 180 degrees. However, it is unfortunate that the lens does not have optical stabilization. I think this is a big miss and I don’t like it. Furthermore, the simple camera design also does not feature any digital stabilization. Missing any image stabilization does appear quite disappointing for an action camera. I think they intentionally did it this way to save device power and therefore prolong recording time with the small built-in battery. Fortunately, GoPro made it up by providing the Quik app to stabilize the footage during post-processing. The stabilization is actually quite good and smooth with the app and I am impressed. However, it takes more time and steps to download the footage to the phone and then perform stabilization. It was surprising that the downloading and stabilization process was quite fast. However, the exporting of the final stabilized footage took a long time, which was not surprising for my 5-year-old phone. It took over 15 minutes to export a 90-second 4K clip. One can transfer the stabilized mp4 file to Windows to perform further editing. The exported mp4 is stored under movies/GoPro-export on the phone. This is a lengthy post-processing workflow and I was not impressed. There must be an easier way to do everything on Windows without going back and forth on the phone. I finally found a free Windows software that can perform image stabilization based on gyro data. This means that I can do everything on Windows without needing to use the Quik phone app. I just needed to download the original mp4 footage from the camera directly to my Windows computer via a USB cable. Recorded videos are stored in the Hero/DCIM/100GOPRO folder. Then I can perform the digital stabilization and video editing all on Windows. After setting up this new workflow, I am a happy camper and no longer need to be tied to the phone app. This should speed up the post-processing significantly. The camera’s video quality in daylight is good and sharp, but it is not a low-light camera and therefore image quality may be compromised when shooting indoors. The camera runs warm but not hot, thanks to the full-front heat sink.In conclusion, this is a really compact and solid outdoor camera with respectable underwater performance. However, the lack of built-in image stabilization makes the post-processing workflow longer. If you are willing to trade post-processing time and complexity for compactness and battery life, this is the camera for you. I have to say I really like how compact and portable the camera is and may just accept the longer post-processing time as I don’t shoot long clips, so it should be fine with me.
